Master of Ceremonies who did a highly commendable job of keeping the proceedings moving at our Gala Evening.

Frank is also the inaugural President of the 106 Field Workshop RAEME Assoc (Inc) who sponsored the Gathering 2004 and worked along with the interim committee to ensure the success of the weekend.

WO1 M.C. (Milton) Pearson, ex Corps RSM

Capturing our attention and taking us down memory lane, our Opening Speaker draws breath, before giving us "the dirt" on yet another "Crafty" at the Saturday evening Gala Function. Milton circled on the spot as he spoke to us from the centre of the function room and ably demonstrated his photographic memory when recalling events and his ability to remember so many service numbers and who they belonged to yet again! You had to be there!

Guest of Honour, Brigadier Douglas Formby, Royal Australian Armoured Corps,
introduced by Lt Col Les Edis, HQ AFV EIS 69/70.

Brigadier Formby delivered the Address in Tribute to the Corps. He delivered a glowing and good-humoured, at times, tongue-in-cheek address stressing the close relationship between our two Corps, RAEME and RAAC.

Brig R.I.G.(Ross) Grant, Honorary Colonel and ex HOC
Address on behalf of the HOC, Brig D.F. McGahey, CSC.

Brig Grant spoke of a recent trio he had made to Darwin with the HOC and the problems that were being faced in providing support in the current context.

He noted the high quality of serving members of the Corps and how important it was that the experience of those who had served, when more resources were available, be passed to the modern day Corps.

Lt Col C.V.L. (Claude) Palmer and Col J.S. (John) Sinclair, ex OCs 106 Fd Wksp
Response to Presentation to JS.

Claude Palmer had earlier spoken to the gathering about the hard work done by both Phil Bond (Gathering organiser) and John Sinclair (106 Fd Wksp Webmaster) leading up to the Gathering 2004.

Phyllis is the hard working, (and long suffering) wife of Phillip Bond, the Gathering Organizer.

Milton presenting a painting to Phyllis Bond thanking her for all her work in making the Gathering a success.
Her "bigger half", Phil Bond had just received a presentation from Lt Col C.V.L. (Claude) Palmer for his stirling effort in organising the Gathering of RAEME 2004.

The painting was kindly painted and donated by Bill Bowden, 106 Fd Wksp 1970, now living in SA.
Bill was Chief Clerk, after Colin Thorpe, at 106. (What a wonderful talent he has!)

The painting is now proudly displayed in the foyer of the Bond Home.

Dennis Norman casting a spell with a magic wand over John and Pauline Sinclair, after Pauline had been presented with flowers. JS had often requested a magic wand to help with the 106 Fd Wksp Website so this was a prime opportunity to present him with one.
