The Task Force was supported for tactical and logistic troop movement, resupply and medivac by Huey helicopters (Bell Iroquois UH-1). In direct support was No 9 Sqn RAAF, with 8 aircraft, based at Vung Tau from 1966

A Huey could lift 10 troops, had a cruising speed of 100kts

Usually they would be configured with two side-firing M60 7.62mm GPMGs but also be armed with four side-firing M60, two forward firing 7.62 miniguns and fourteen folding fin aerial rockets.
