The boxing match, Bennedick with a left jab to the head of Tasmanian, Wayne Devlin.Wayne was Australian Amateur Middle Weight champion and was one of the team on their way to the Asian Pacific Games for selection at the Commonwealth Games, 1970. It was a three round bout that was declared a draw. Wayne went on and was the first boxer selected for the Games and was Captain of the Boxing Team. My trainer was Doug Goodson, AACC. Sgt Tony Tratt was the Second in my Corner. |
