In Jan 69, before the General Engineering Shops were built, the welding section was housed in an existing building .Once the welders moved to their purpose built shop, this building was used by the QM to store gases and dangerous material. To the left, the truck mounted machinery shop can just be seen. To the right, in marquees, that also extended behind the welders shop, is the Stores Section in its temporary location. |
