In 1995, I had an Arab horse stud at Ambrose, north west of Tin Can Bay and had placed the property on the market.

A Denise Freeland came out to look at it. I mentioned that I had served in the Army in SVN in 1970 when Denise told me her brother had been in SVN in 1970. His name was Tony Tratt and he was living in Rosebud, Victoria.

Denise, from Boyne Island, arranged a reunion at the Boyne/Tannum Country Club for Tony, I and Frank, who came from Emu Plains for the occasion

The reunion was reported in the local paper, The Port Curtis Post on 1 June 1995.

Whatever happens in life, mates are forever.
